I’m Jill—a seasoned adoptive mom, veteran homeschooler, and believer that a well-loved home doesn’t have to be a perfect home.
After years of raising 10 children, homeschooling through all kinds of learning challenges, and navigating the beautiful and complicated realities of adoption and attachment, I’ve learned that sometimes the most important work of homemaking has very little to do with how a house looks.
For me, creating a simpler, more organized home is about making room for what matters most: relationships, learning, hospitality, creativity, faith, and the everyday moments that make up family life.
Here you’ll find practical organizing ideas, encouragement for homeschool families, lessons I’ve learned along the way, and honest conversations about dyslexia, learning differences, ADHD, attachment, adoption, and the challenges and joys of raising a big family.
I don’t have all the answers—and I’ve certainly learned plenty through trial and error—but after decades of family life, I’ve gathered a few things worth passing along.
So pull up a chair and stay awhile.
Let’s make our homes a little simpler, our families a little stronger, and room for the things that matter most.
